Bio
E. Joy Mehr started making comics in March 2018 after getting laid off from a hearing aid plant. Her first zine, Unemployment Diary, was a result of needing to fill the long days of nothing and keep track of her meager finances.
Since then she has served as founder and organizer for Insert Name Mini Fest (2019-present), co-founder of JEM Distro zine collective, tabled at numerous zine fests, and presented a lightning talk at the 2022 Graphic Medicine conference. She is currently developing a comic based on this lightning talk.
